Today was filled with creativity, connection, and pure excitement across Monroe County Schools.

Our VPK and HeadStart teachers kicked off the day with an engaging professional learning session—modeling hands‑on lessons using colorful manipulatives, playdough, bright room décor, and learning games, all under the joyful theme “Helping Students Bloom and Grow.” 🌸

Meanwhile, our K–12 teachers were thrilled to reunite with colleagues from across the district, sharing summer stories and jumping right into planning for an incredible year ahead. Professional Learning sessions focused on ready‑to‑use teaching strategies that give educators even more tools in their toolkit to help students succeed from day one. 🖥️ ✏️ 📚

From content‑area workshops to sessions on AI and AVID—plus bags full of swag (thank you, vendors!)—the day was packed with inspiration and practical ideas.

Our teachers left feeling energized, empowered, and unstoppable, fully ready to welcome students back on August 12.
