Congratulations to Adriana Calvo and Our MHS Champions for Change!
Adriana Calvo, a Marathon High School Class of 2026 graduate, MHS Champions for Change member, and Monroe County Coalition Youth Leader, was selected as the 2026 Youth Speaker for the opening session of the CADCA Mid-Year Training Institute in Orlando, Florida.
During this prestigious event, Adriana had the opportunity to address more than 3,000 prevention professionals and youth prevention leaders from across the country. Her selection as the featured youth speaker reflects her dedication to substance misuse prevention and youth leadership, causes she has passionately supported since the eighth grade.
Adriana did an outstanding job representing Marathon High School, the Monroe County Coalition, and our community. We are incredibly proud of her accomplishments and the powerful message she shared with attendees.
In addition to Adriana, four other MHS Champions for Change members attended the CADCA Mid-Year Training Institute this week. They participated in educational sessions focused on the latest prevention trends, evidence-based strategies, and leadership development opportunities. The students will bring valuable knowledge and ideas back to our school and community as they continue their important prevention work.
Congratulations to Adriana and all of the MHS Champions for Change members for their commitment to creating healthier, safer communities for youth. We are proud of the positive impact they continue to make.
