Admin group visiting KWHS to see CTE Class

Superintendent Ed Tierney, Mayor Danise Henriquez, City Manager Brian Barroso, Police Chief Sean Brandenburg and others visited Key West High School to see the 911 Dispatch CTE program in action. Students are gaining real‑world skills and earning industry certifications that prepare them to step confidently into the workforce. Working together with the City and KWPD, students will have the opportunity to observe a dispatch center in action, receive mentoring on interview tips with the possibility of turning their experience into a career.

Teacher Joshua Olearnek and his students were excited to share what they’ve been learning and Janalee W. gave a live demonstration of the simulation. She, along with classmates Mandy B. and Mullins C. have completed several certifications already.

We are so proud of the hands‑on learning happening in this classroom and the incredible opportunities it creates for our students.
