KLS AVID Excel students had an incredible opportunity to go behind the scenes at the NBC 6 / Telemundo Headquarters in Miami. During their visit, scholars met news anchors, journalists, producers, directors, Emmy‑winning video designers, and even the president of the network.
Students learned about the importance of collaboration, writing, creativity, and inquiry while hearing firsthand how each professional’s unique educational and career path led them to where they are today. The experience opened our students’ eyes to the many exciting possibilities in media, broadcasting, and communications.
