Key Largo School is proud to announce its official designation as a Guy Harvey Conservation School for the 2025–2026 school year, recognizing the school’s strong commitment to environmental education, conservation, and community stewardship.
The Guy Harvey Conservation Schools program honors schools that demonstrate excellence in environmental education through experiential learning, professional development, and environmental stewardship. Through this designation, Key Largo School joins a distinguished network of educators and students dedicated to protecting marine and terrestrial ecosystems while inspiring future conservation leaders.
“Becoming a Guy Harvey Conservation School reflects the passion and dedication of our students, teachers, and staff,” said Principal Darren Pais. “Living and learning in the Florida Keys gives us a unique responsibility to protect our environment, and this designation strengthens our ability to provide meaningful, hands-on conservation experiences.”
During the 2025–2026 school year, Key Largo School looks forward to expanding its conservation initiatives and continuing to foster environmental awareness, stewardship, and leadership among its students.
