Art Prive' - Monday June 4, 2012
"Creatively Up Close & Personal"
Our 7th annual Art Prive' is coming up...June 4th. Internationally renowned, and locally loved, artist Stacie Krupa has a wonderful collaboration underway with 10 TVM students.
Each student worked one-on-one with Ms. Krupa to create a painting, and also with their TVM art teacher Diana McGuirk-Hille. The art will then auctioned at a fabulous dinner gala.
The theme this year is "Creatively Up Close & Personal". Last year this special event raised more than $40,000 for TVM! We know we can do it again with your help!

Odyssey of the Mind – Regional Winners!!!!!
Next: Treasure Village Montessori’s Odyssey of the Mind team will be traveling to Orlando in April to compete in the state competitions in their division. The Problem “ To Be or Not To Be”, presented these students with a unique set of criteria that needed to be addressed through creativity and innovation.
The team made up of Olivia Gonzalez, Robby Majeska, Jessica Wheeler, Spencer Pardo, AJ Juliano and Kristen Miller not only had a great time and put all their Montessori skills to work by incorporating team building, problem solving
and a myriad of other skills.
We are so proud of you for all your hard work
and team dedication!

Featured TVM Biography – Woof!
Toby, Service Dog and Smile Maker
Toby is a 7 year old English Springer Spaniel. He began training at the age of 6 months with local trainer, Kathy Walker. Toby took beginning, intermediate and advanced obedience classes and beginning, intermediate and advanced agility classes. He was tested by the American Kennel Club and received his canine Good Citizen Certification. He was approved by the National Association of Therapy Dogs as a certified therapy dog.
Toby's human is Ms. Cheryl. Totally nurtured, he is bathed weekly and teeth brushed every other day. Toby's breed of dog is described as "soft mouthed". As hunting companions they are used to flush birds out of bushes for hunters. English "Springers" also retrieve the birds and their "soft mouth" keeps them from damaging the bird. As a service dog Toby is approved by the airlines for in-cabin travel. He is also allowed in most public places including restaurants when he is wearing his "service dog" vest. Though they don't seem to mind him barefoot! He is well-mannered and housebroken and carries his own "baggies" for outdoor use. Here at TVM we employ Toby's enthusiasm to encourage students to read.
