Our upcoming Progress Monitoring 3 (PM3) assessments are just around the corner! These tests are an important opportunity for students to show all they’ve learned and the growth they’ve made throughout the year.
Please check out the important dates for your child’s grade level.
Why It Matters:
PM3 helps us measure student progress, guide instruction, and celebrate academic achievements. Every testing session counts!
Be On Time & Ready:
It is very important that students are present, on time, and remain on campus for their scheduled testing sessions. Late arrivals or early check-outs can interrupt testing and impact student performance.

Purple Up Day!
April is recognized as the Month of the Military Child—a special time to honor and celebrate the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of military-connected students and their families. These students face unique challenges, including frequent moves, new schools, and time apart from loved ones who are serving our country. We are proud to recognize their courage and commitment.
On Wednesday, April 15th, Purple Up Day, we invite everyone to show their support by wearing purple to school. Purple represents all branches of the military, combining Army green, Navy blue, Air Force blue, Marine red, and Coast Guard blue symbolizing unity and support for our military families.
Let’s come together as a school community to show appreciation, encouragement, and pride for our military children. Your participation helps remind them that they are seen, supported, and celebrated every day!
Please join us for our Annual Volunteer Breakfast on April 24th beginning at 9:00 AM in the Media Center. This special event is our opportunity to celebrate and recognize the incredible dedication of our SSE volunteers.

Academic April is Here!
We’re excited to kick off Academic April, a month dedicated to helping our students feel confident and prepared for the upcoming Florida State Assessments!
At school, we’ll be focusing on:
✔️ Reviewing key standards
✔️ Strengthening foundational skills
✔️ Practicing test-taking strategies in a positive, supportive environment 💙

The 4th and 5th Grade F.A.S.T. Writing Assessment will take place this week on Tuesday, March 31st and Wednesday, April 1st. Our students have been working diligently to prepare, building their writing skills, confidence, and stamina for this important assessment.

America turns 250 and Florida students can help tell the story! K-12 students are invited to submit original art or essays celebrating Florida’s contributions to our nation’s history.

Our 5th Grade students will present their highly anticipated Wax Museum, bringing historical figures to life through research, writing, and performance. We are so excited for you to see the results of their dedication and effort!
The event will begin at 3:45 PM and conclude at 4:45 PM.

Florida Department of Education and Volunteer Florida Invite Students and Educators to Participate in the 2026 Black History Month Contests. Six winners will be awarded a 2-year Florida College Plan scholarship provided by Florida Prepaid College Plans. All K-12 #FloridaStudents are encouraged to participate.

From January 26–30, we will come together to celebrate 250 Chapters of Literacy, a week dedicated to fostering a love of reading and highlighting the importance of literacy for all students. Throughout the week, students and staff will participate in meaningful, fun, and engaging activities designed to inspire reading, build connections, and celebrate our shared literacy journey.
Please take a moment to review the daily themes and activities planned for each day and join us as we turn the pages together during this exciting celebration of literacy!
