Each day, our schools will take part in activities that teach the three simple steps of the Sandy Hook Promise program to build connection and inclusion:
See Someone Alone – notice when a peer may be experiencing loneliness or isolation.
Reach Out and Help – learn strategies to connect with and support others. Start With Hello – include others, spark conversations, and grow lasting relationships.
The goals of Start With Hello are to help students:
1. Recognize loneliness and social isolation.
2. Support peers who may be feeling disconnected.
3. Build a more empathetic and inclusive community.
