Drowning can happen quickly and silently often when you least expect it. In Florida, itβs one of the leading causes of preventable death for children ages 1β4. But the good news? Itβs preventable.
π Stay Alert: Always supervise children around waterβno distractions, not even for a second.
π§ Add Barriers: Secure pools with proper fencing, locks, and alarms.
π Build Skills: Enroll kids in swim lessons and learn CPRβit can save lives.
π¨βπ©βπ§ Make a Plan: Ensure everyone in your family knows water safety basics.
Most drownings happen quietly and often when children werenβt expected to be near water. Letβs work together to create safer environments for our kids.
