🀿🌊 Learning Beyond the Classroom! πŸͺΈπŸ

Our KLS seventh graders recently headed to MarineLab for an incredible day of hands-on marine science! Students took their learning out on the water as they snorkeled, explored our local coral reef ecosystem, and conducted water quality testing. πŸ’™

The experience was part of MarineLab’s Coral Reef Classroom, a two-part program created especially for local seventh graders. MarineLab instructors first visited KLS to teach students about corals, reef habitats, and the important connections within our local ecosystems. Then, students had the opportunity to put that knowledge into action by experiencing the reef firsthand! πŸŒŠπŸ”¬πŸŸ

A huge thank you to MarineLab and the Ocean Reef Conservation Association for making this amazing experience possible and giving our students the opportunity to learn about, explore, and appreciate the incredible marine environment right in our own backyard! πŸͺΈπŸ’™
