Friday, members of our student site team, along with AVID elective students from 6th, 7th, and 8th grade, visited 5th grade to share what AVID is all about as they prepare for the transition to middle school.
They spoke about how AVID has supported them academically and personally, highlighted favorites like Fun Friday activities and field trips, and explained key components like tutorials. Most importantly, they offered their best advice for starting middle school real, honest insight from students who have been there.
This visit not only helped inform and prepare our future middle schoolers, but also encouraged them to consider applying for the AVID elective next year and becoming part of our KLS AVID family.
