Our Everglades Ambassadors proudly represented Key Largo School at Dolphin Plus, where they hosted an educational outreach booth focused on manatee conservation. The students shared their knowledge with visitors about how to safely coexist with Florida’s beloved “sea cows” and why protecting manatees and their habitats is so important to the health of the Everglades ecosystem.
Through interactive displays, informative posters, and engaging conversations, the ambassadors taught guests about manatee biology, boating safety in manatee zones, and simple ways everyone can help protect these gentle marine mammals. Visitors were also invited to take the Manatee Pledge, promising not to feed, touch, or disturb manatees and to help spread awareness about protecting them.
This event allowed students to put their learning into action by becoming educators and advocates for conservation in their community. We are incredibly proud of our Everglades Ambassadors for demonstrating leadership, environmental stewardship, and a passion for protecting the natural resources of the Florida Keys. 🌿🐋
