Our AVID Excel scholars recently took their learning beyond the classroom and behind the scenes at NBC/Telemundo Studio Headquarters. During this incredible experience, students connected with local news anchors, journalists, producers, directors, Emmy Awardโwinning video designers, and even the president of the network.
Throughout the visit, our scholars witnessed firsthand the power of collaboration, strong writing skills, and meaningful inquiry in action. They explored the many career paths within the media industry and discovered the diverse educational journeys that led professionals to where they are today. Hearing these personal stories helped our students see that there are many routes to success โ each one driven by passion, perseverance, and purpose.
