1st Grade Everglades

Our first-grade students recently embarked on an exciting field trip to the Everglades National Park, where they explored the beautiful and diverse Anhinga Trail. This hands-on experience allowed students to connect classroom learning with the natural world around them.

As they walked the trail, students participated in a fun and interactive wildlife bingo game, carefully observing and recording the animals and plants they discovered. Along the way, they spotted alligators, turtles, anhinga's, cormorants, egrets, purple gallinules, air plants, lily pads, and many other fascinating species native to the Everglades ecosystem.

The trip provided a wonderful opportunity for students to practice observation skills, learn about habitats and wildlife, and develop a deeper appreciation for Floridaโ€™s unique environment. It was a memorable day filled with exploration, discovery, and meaningful learning experiences.

We are so proud of our curious and enthusiastic first graders!
