Key Largo School was honored to welcome Holocaust survivor Laszlo Selly, who spoke with our middle school students about his experiences as a young Jewish child in Hungary during World War II. Through his moving personal account, Mr. Selly brought history to life and provided students with a deeper understanding of the human impact of hatred, discrimination, and war.
His visit offered an invaluable educational experience, emphasizing the importance of empathy, resilience, and standing up against injustice. We are grateful to Mr. Selly for sharing his story and helping our students connect classroom learning to real-world history in a meaningful and unforgettable way.
