KLS AVID students proudly represented our school this week by designing and decorating a Christmas tree for the Florida Keys Sea of Trees Holiday Festival at the Dolphin Life Hospital in Islamorada. Their creativity, teamwork, and holiday spirit helped bring one of more than 100 uniquely themed trees to life as part of this beloved community event.
After finishing their tree, students had the opportunity to expand their learning beyond the classroom. They explored marine science exhibits, visited touch tanks, and learned more about the mission behind the festival โ supporting the completion of the only Whale & Dolphin Hospital in the Keys. The experience offered a meaningful combination of service, science, and celebration.

Families and community members are invited to stop by the festival and see the KLS AVID tree on display. The Sea of Trees event features thousands of holiday lights, visits from Santa on select nights, and festive activities for guests of all ages.
