On Tuesday, our 2ndโ5th grade gifted students took an exciting field trip to PKS and Dolphin Life as they wrapped up their science research project.
At PKS, students visited Science on the Sphere, where they explored space science through immersive, real-world data visualizations. They were able to connect everything theyโve been studying to a dynamic experience that brought their research to life.
Next, students traveled to Dolphin Life in Islamorada, where they learned about the new marine mammal rehabilitation facility and hospital. Staff taught them about the incredible work they do caring for wild dolphinsโand students were amazed to learn that Dolphin Life is only the second wild marine mammal care facility in the state of Florida.
The day was filled with hands-on learning, curiosity, and meaningful connections to science and conservation. We are so proud of our young Tornados for their engagement and enthusiasm!
