Pictured is Loralee Carrera the Islamorada grandmother and seamstress who created the Keys themed quilts with PKS art students 26 years ago. The themes included Keys birds, Keys, fish, and Keys historical sites. They were on display in the original PKS  school from 2000–2018 , then secured during re-construction , and recently re-hung in new frames in the PKS media center for all to enjoy across generations of PKS students. Each square shows the first and last name of each student artist at the time.
