proud parents at readers ceremony

In the picture: Look at all the proud parents on hand to help celebrate the wonders of reading!

Superintendent Ed Tierney visited Plantation Key School last week to celebrate students who earned this year’s Superintendent Reader Award. Each student received a certificate recognizing their hard work, dedication, and growing love for reading.

The program encourages students to read throughout the year—both at home and at school—with a focus on building lifelong readers. Students discuss elements of the books they read, helping strengthen fluency, comprehension, and confidence. Most importantly, the program nurtures a genuine joy for reading.

Congratulations to all our amazing readers at PKS. Keep turning those pages and discovering new worlds through books!
