Plantation Key School

On Friday, January 9th PKS students along with students from Coral Shores were able to stand along the Old Highway and greet the Wounded Warriors participating in this year's ride to Key West. Each year, the Wounded Warrior Ride makes it way from Key Largo all the way to Key West. Along the way, the riders stop for a break- and our students get the opportunity to meet the veteran soldiers in person. The students enjoy this opportunity to create cards and posters thanking the veterans for their service. It seems the veterans enjoy the stop too- always asking to keep the mementos presented to them and to take some pictures as well.
