Take Stock in Children (TSIC) is a 501 (c ) (3) not-for-profit organization with a solid 25+ year-history of providing college scholarships, mentors, and educational support for income-eligible and at-risk youth in Monroe County. The mission of TSIC is to break the cycle of poverty through education. The primary objective is successful completion of secondary and post-secondary education. Our academic support strategies embed student motivation, responsibility, and support, respectively, through guaranteed scholarships, student accountability, and a one-on-one corps of committed mentors and role models.

Mentor Shortage

Take Stock in Children is currently accepting new mentors. Our students are eager to pursue their career & academic dreams. Even though they meet the academic and economic requirements to be accepted into our program, we can not change the life of a student unless we have someone to mentor them.
