Poinciana Elementary 5th graders spent their last Monday of elementary school taking math out of the classroom and into the real world with a trip to Publix!
Students completed a scavenger hunt using prices, weights, and products throughout the store while practicing important math skills in a real-life setting. They loved seeing how math is used every day in a grocery store!
A huge thank you to Publix for hosting our students and especially to Jenny, Assistant Service Desk Manager, for the insightful tour and for helping make this experience so meaningful and fun for our 5th graders. We appreciate your support of our students and school community!
