Southernmost Steel Pan Festival lit up the island like a Caribbean sunrise — a true celebration of rhythm, culture, and community.
Students from Poinciana Elementary, Gerald Adams, Key West High School, and three incredible guest ensembles came together, turning Key West into a sea of tropical melodies. The air was alive with the sound of steel pans dancing like waves against the shore, each note carrying that unmistakable island soul.
From the youngest players keeping the heartbeat of the islands steady, to the seasoned performers sending melodies floating over the crowd like a warm breeze, the festival was pure island magic.
A huge shout out to all the students, directors, families, and supporters who made this celebration unforgettable. A special thank you Mr. Brooker for giving our students the opportunity to participate in a wonderful event. The Keys have rhythm — and these young musicians proved it.
Ready for next year? The islands sure are.
