We had the most wonderful Monday thanks to our special visiting author! Nate Whiting filled our classrooms with laughter, imagination, and adventure as he read his books aloud to our students. The kids were absolutely captivated—leaning in, giggling, and hanging on every word.
Nate Whiting is a children's book author and poet often referred to by the nickname "The Accidental Poet". Before becoming a full-time author and musician in the Baltimore/Annapolis area, Whiting spent over a decade as an elementary school physical education and health teacher in Fort Washington, Maryland.
After the stories, he led the students through fun activities that brought his books to life. Watching our students light up with creativity and excitement was truly heartwarming.
We are so grateful he spent his day inspiring our young readers and showing them the magic that lives inside every story.
