Team celebrating retirements

The principals and curriculum team celebrated two incredible women whose careers have shaped our district in powerful, lasting ways — Linda Diaz and Lisa Taylor.

For Linda, this moment is especially meaningful. She started her career right alongside me, and I’ve had the privilege of watching her grow through every transition, challenge, and triumph. From those early days to the pinnacle of becoming a principal, Linda has led with heart, courage, and a steady commitment to doing what’s best for kids. Her journey has been nothing short of inspiring, and I couldn’t be prouder of the leader — and person — she has become.

And then there’s Lisa — steadfast, true, and the one who somehow knows everything about SO many things. Her depth of knowledge, her calm presence, and her ability to keep everyone grounded have made her an anchor for our schools. When you needed clarity, history, or the answer to a question no one else could solve, Lisa was the one you turned to. Her impact is woven into the fabric of this district.

Together, Linda and Lisa brought energy, wisdom, and a dynamic spirit that lifted every team they touched. Their retirements mark the end of two remarkable chapters — and the beginning of well‑earned new ones.

Thank you, Linda and Lisa, for careers defined by service, leadership, and love for our students and staff. Your legacy will continue to shine across MCSD, and we are all better because of you.

Wishing you both joy, rest, and all the beautiful things this next chapter holds.
