Ms. Anonides's 2nd period ceramics students worked collaboratively with Chef Rivard's Culinary program to create functional cake pans. Some chose to hand build while a few very skilled wheel-throwers took to the wheel to create their pieces. They faced plenty of challenges along the way as they learned all the little details that go into making a handmade dish food safe!
Please enjoy scrolling through some photos of the process and their finished designs + cakes. These pans were made from low-fire stoneware and fired in the kiln to just under 2000 F.
