"SEMESTER AND FINAL EXAMINATIONS
All students will be required to take a semester and final exam for each course in which they are enrolled with the exception of state EOC courses. Students enrolled in courses with a state or nationally developed standardized assessment (e.g., State EOC course and Advanced Placement Courses) will be offered alternative assignments during the final exam window at the discretion of the building principal and teacher. In EOC courses the statewide, standardized EOC will serve as the final exam and will comprise 30 percent of the overall course grade. If a student fails to sit for the statewide end of course assessment, a zero will be entered for the 30 percent No other final exam may be given. District developed common semester and final exams may be administered as these assessments are developed and field tested throughout the year." (MCSD High School Progression plan 2025-2026, Page 66)
