We are pleased to share that Mr. Kevin Walden will be transitioning to a new role for the 2026–2027 school year as Assistant Principal at Horace O’Bryant School.

Mr. Walden has dedicated 28 years to the field of education and has served Sugarloaf School with unwavering commitment and leadership. During his tenure as Assistant Principal, he has played an instrumental role in advancing key initiatives, including school safety and security, state and district testing, transportation systems, technology integration, and effective classroom management practices. His leadership has had a lasting impact on both staff and students.

In his new position at Horace O’Bryant School, Mr. Walden will support the elementary division, working with students in kindergarten through fifth grade within the school’s K–8 setting. He is excited to join Principal Mrs. Whitehead and collaborate with the administrative team to continue fostering a strong, supportive, and high-achieving school environment.

Mr. Walden looks forward to partnering with teachers and staff to promote academic success and ensure that all students are supported in reaching their full potential. He is also eager to become an active member of the Horace O’Bryant community.
