The Monroe County School Board will convene its Regular Business Meeting on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 5:00 P.M. The meeting will be held at Key West City Hall, located at 1300 White Street, Key West, FL 33040. A Public Hearing will be held for Policies and a Job Description listed on the agenda.
Citizens who wish to address the Board on any agenda item prior to action must register to speak during the Citizen Input segment of the meeting. To register, please call (305) 293-1400 ext. 53392 by 2:00 P.M. on the day of the meeting. Upon arrival, speakers are required to complete the Speaker's Form.
Individuals requesting accommodations under the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) should call (305) 293-1400 ext. 53392 with their request at least five (5) business days prior to the meeting and complete a speaker's card specifying the required accommodation.
The meeting will be broadcasted live at: https://monroe-k12.granicus.com/ViewPublisher.php?view_id=1
If a person decides to appeal against any decision made by the Board with respect to any matter considered at the meeting, they may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made.

This week, Gerald Adams Elementary is focusing on Habit 4: Think Win-Win! 🤝🐬
Think Win-Win means finding solutions where everyone feels happy and successful. It’s about being fair, kind, and working together so no one feels left out.
💡 What does this look like for students?
Taking turns with friends or siblings
Sharing ideas and listening to others
Solving problems together instead of arguing
Being happy for someone else’s success
📚 Summer Example:
You and a friend both want to choose what to do. A win-win solution could be reading together first, then playing a game you both enjoy!

We know summer has just begun and we hope you’re enjoying every minute! But as we all know, summer has a way of flying by, and before you know it, the new school year will be here.
This is a great time to take care of those important dentist and doctor appointments while schedules are more flexible. If appointments need to happen during the school year, be sure to use our school calendar to help plan visits on days off whenever possible.
Thank you for your continued support of our students—especially when it comes to attendance. You did an amazing job this past year making sure your children were present and ready to learn, and we truly appreciate your partnership!

The 5th Grade Team will be selling Drink Refreshers during our upcoming Dolphin Days to support their upcoming field trip. Drink Refreshers will be available all week during grade-level games.
