Mrs. Gerardot, our Reading Coach, teamed up with Ms. Frommelt, our Art Teacher, for a fun and creative literacy experience featuring Don’t Trust Fish by Neil Sharpson from the Sunshine State Jr. Young Readers Award book list! 📖✨

Students listened to the story and learned all about fact vs. opinions while making connections to the text. Then, they put their creativity to work by designing and creating their very own pet fish habitat for a reading buddy! 

Along the way, students practiced important skills including:

💭 Thinking about facts and opinions
🎨 Creative expression
📚 Making connections through literature
