Group of teachers honored by Chamber of Commerce

Superintendent Ed Tierney and School Board Members Darren Horan and Yvette Talbott were honored to attend today’s Key West Chamber of Commerce Luncheon, where exceptional teachers from schools across Key West were celebrated for their dedication and impact.

Each teacher—selected by their school administrators—received a beautiful plaque and two First State Bank gift bags filled with more than $3,000 in gifts, thanks to the overwhelming generosity of Chamber business members. The outpouring of support made this recognition even more meaningful.

This luncheon is always a special tradition, and today’s event truly highlighted how deeply valued our educators are. Teachers from MCSD, as well as local charter and private schools, were recognized for their commitment to students and the incredible work they do every day.

A heartfelt thank‑you to the Key West Chamber of Commerce and its Education Committee for their continued support and for shining such a bright spotlight on our amazing teachers.
