This week in Mrs. Yarboro’s class students have been exposed to realistic fiction and non-fiction text about apples. The students read-alouds include: The Apple Pie Tree, Let’s Explore Apples, and Apple Trees and the Seasons. Mrs. Jackson, a school volunteer, guided students in a painting project. This week in math students are learning about put together situations which leads to exploring part, part, whole. Students had the opportunity to explore math mats today with dominos using number bonds. First grade at GAE is busy,busy!
