This past Saturday, Mr. Williams, Ms. Sweeney, and Ms. Rizzo learned about marine science, ocean habitats, and conservation through the Guy Harvey STEAM Training. The K–12 training included scientific background and hands-on classroom activities designed to help teachers bring ocean conservation into their classrooms.

This training also qualifies SLS to become an official Guy Harvey Conservation School and provides opportunities to apply for field trip grants! We are excited to have our teachers bring this knowledge back to our students and inspire the next generation of ocean stewards.
