As part of Monroe County School District's 2nd Semester Initiative: “One Team – One Goal” district team members have been working side by-side with our teachers to provide additional support for both educators and students.
Sugarloaf's district team has been joining classrooms to deliver explicit, hands-on small group instruction that focuses on strengthening students’ understanding of their grade-level B.E.S.T reading standards. These targeted lessons help students build the skills and confidence they need to succeed!
Support doesn’t stop in the ELA block! District staff have also been pushing into content area classrooms providing collaborative teaching support, helping teachers embed literacy strategies across subjects like social studies, and beyond. This work ensures students are strengthening their reading, thinking, and vocabulary skills throughout the entire school day!
When educators collaborate and support one another, students benefit the most! We are proud to be part of a district that truly believes in working together to ensure success for every learner!
