Marathon High School's Student Government Association kicked off the 2026-2027 school year with an engaging leadership pre planning session designed to bring students together, strengthen relationships, and begin shaping a shared vision for the year ahead.
The session was filled with meaningful discussions, collaborative activities, and opportunities for students to share their perspectives on what makes Marathon High School a place where every student can succeed. Through interactive conversations and team building exercises, students reflected on the school's recent successes while thoughtfully examining ways they can continue to strengthen school culture and support their fellow students.
The level of engagement throughout the session was exceptional. Students enthusiastically participated in every activity, listened respectfully to one another, and contributed insightful ideas that demonstrated both maturity and a genuine desire to make a positive impact. Their willingness to challenge ideas, build upon one another's thoughts, and work collaboratively highlighted the important role student leadership plays in creating a positive school environment.
Principal Paul was encouraged by the students' commitment and enthusiasm.
"Our Student Government members demonstrated exactly what leadership looks like. They came prepared to listen, collaborate, and think critically about how they can make Marathon High School an even better place for every student. Their passion, creativity, and thoughtful input make me incredibly excited about the year ahead."
As the school year begins, Marathon High School's Student Government is ready to lead by example, foster school pride, and work alongside students and staff to continue building a positive and welcoming school community.
