With the school year coming to a close, Marathon High School’s Take Stock in Children program is celebrating a major accomplishment, as all 18 of the school’s graduating Take Stock seniors have officially enrolled in college for the fall.

According to Marathon Take Stock coordinator Traci Driscoll, each of the seniors will have their tuition fully covered through the program, helping remove financial barriers as students continue their education beyond high school. Several students also earned additional two-year dorm scholarships that are fully funded.

Driscoll credited the achievement to the continued support of Marathon High School staff, mentors and community members who work closely with students throughout their high school careers.

“With only a few days left in this school year, I would like to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to each of you for your continued support of Take Stock in Children and your commitment to helping our students succeed at Marathon High School,” Driscoll said.

The Take Stock in Children program provides students with mentorship, college readiness support and scholarship opportunities designed to help them achieve long-term academic success.

“This incredible achievement would not be possible without your dedication and support,” Driscoll added. “The impact you make on our students is truly immeasurable.”
