MHS Champions for Change

Superintendent Ed Tierney and Board Chair John Dick presented Marathon High School's Champions for Change group with a GEMS award at Tuesday's board meeting.

Marathon High School’s Champions for Change is a powerful youth‑led group making a real difference in Monroe County. Guided by Martina and Dr. Christina Belotti, students in grades 8–12 lead prevention efforts, support peers facing challenges, and promote healthy, positive choices.

From Red Ribbon Week and Safe & Sober Prom to food distributions, clothing drives, leadership summits, and even advocacy on Capitol Hill, these students are proof that youth leadership creates lasting change.

We are proud to recognize Champions for Change for their compassion, commitment, and impact on our schools and community!
