teachers wearing purple

On April 15, Marathon High School proudly participated in Purple Up Day in recognition of the Month of the Military Child, a time dedicated to honoring the resilience and sacrifices of children in military families.

Students and staff wore purple, the official color symbolizing all branches of the military, as a visible show of support and appreciation. Throughout the day, campus activities helped bring the community together, including photo opportunities during lunch, festive decorations, balloons, and candy giveaways for the most spirited participants.

Purple Up Day serves as a reminder of the unique challenges military-connected students face, including frequent relocations and extended periods of separation from loved ones. Marathon High School remains committed to recognizing these experiences and fostering a supportive environment for all military families within the school community.
