It is with great pride and excitement that we announce Ivis Alvear as Marathon High School’s Beginning Teacher of the Year! In her very first year, Ms. Alvear has made an extraordinary impact by launching our cosmetology nails pathway program, an innovative addition that has already proven to be incredibly successful. Through her passion, creativity, and unwavering commitment to students, she has created a hands-on learning environment where students are not only building technical skills, but also confidence and career readiness. Her classroom reflects excellence, engagement, and a true dedication to student success. Ms. Alvear’s remarkable first year is a testament to her talent and drive, and we are incredibly fortunate to have her as part of our Dolphin Family. Go Fins!
