Marathon, FL — On Monday, Dec. 15, Marathon High School hosted a special musical performance for students who remained referral-free throughout December. Local performing artists Mike Stack and D-Lew brought high-energy island vibes to the school with a concert presented by PBIS.

Stack, a Key West-born hip-hop artist known for his popular local anthem “I’m From Key West,” and collaborator D-Lew had the crowd on their feet. Their performance of “I’m From Key West” had students cheering and celebrating community unity — a fitting message for the Florida Keys, where residents and students alike embrace the idea of being one family across the islands.

“This event was a great way to celebrate our students’ positive behavior and contributions,” said Coach Sean McDonald, who helped bring the show to the school. “Our kids are the best! Mike and D-Lew brought the house down with an unforgettable show.”

PBIS rewards positive choices and academic focus, and this concert highlighted Marathon High School’s commitment to fostering a respectful and encouraging school culture.\
