Emerson Fleming with certificate

Emerson Fleming – a senior at Marathon High School has been chosen and the Monroe County School District's Presidential Scholar in Career and Technical Education.

Fleming is an exceptional student whose technical skills and professionalism truly set him apart. He works at The Turtle Hospital in Marathon, Florida, where he leads educational tours and is frequently called upon to troubleshoot technology issues.

Most recently, he restored their presentation system after an educational program stopped working. He demonstrates calm, expertise, and reliability under pressure. He holds a wide range of industry certifications, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects; Entrepreneurship & Small Business; WordPress editing; and Autodesk Fusion 360.

His passion for graphic design is reflected not only in his career goals but also in his willingness to teach others; he regularly tutors fellow students in Photoshop and Illustrator and is known as an excellent, patient instructor. Emerson’s problem-solving ability, and commitment to helping others makes him an outstanding candidate worthy of recognition.

Superintendent Tierney and Board Chair Dick presented him with a beautiful certificate at a Board Meeting with Principal Paul and his family on hand to congratulate him.
