Great progress was made today during the Monroe County School District and Islamorada Village Council workshop regarding improvements to the Founders Park baseball field used by the Coral Shores High School baseball team.

The workshop included public input, discussion of agenda items, and collaborative conversations on the terms of the lease agreement. Both the MCSD Board and Village Council members expressed that the meeting was productive and resulted in positive movement toward finalizing plans for improvements to this important facility.

We appreciate the thoughtful engagement and spirit of collaboration demonstrated by all participants. Both organizations will continue to advance the agreement through their respective meetings next week as they work toward finalizing improvements that will benefit Coral Shores High School student-athletes and the broader community.
