Monroe County School District is proud to announce its designation as a Florida State Certified CDL Testing Facility. This milestone marks a major step forward in workforce development and transportation excellence across the Keys.
Thanks to the leadership of Jason Thomason, now a Florida State Certified Third Party Administrator (TPA), and Cassandra “Cassie” White, a newly certified Third Party Tester (TPT), the district now trains, tests, and certifies commercial driver’s licenses entirely in-house. White administers the official CDL Pre-Trip and Road Tests, while Thomason ensures compliance through regular audits aligned with state regulations.
This achievement places Monroe County among a select group of districts statewide that provide full CDL certification services in partnership with the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) and the Florida Association for Pupil Transportation (FAPT). The district is actively recruiting and certifying new trainers to expand its impact, with future plans to support the Sheriff’s Department and other local agencies.
Monroe County continues to lead with innovation, rigor, and service—driving opportunity forward for our community.
