Take Stock in Children (TSIC) is a 501 (c ) (3) not-for-profit organization with a solid 15-year history of providing college scholarships, mentors and educational support for income-eligible and at-risk youth in Monroe County. The mission of TSIC is to break the cycle of poverty through education. The primary objective is successful completion of secondary and post-secondary education. Our academic support strategies embed student motivation, responsibility and support, respectively, through guaranteed scholarships, student accountability and a one-on-one corps of committed mentors and role models.
