Mrs. Haddad

If you had asked me when I was younger what I wanted to do in life I probably never would have said "Be a Librarian" despite a lifelong love of books.  This is my second career but I can now admit that I love it!  I grew up in Miami (Hialeah) and attended college at The University of Florida (Go Gators!) I graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Telecommunications/Broadcast Journalism.  I worked as a television producer for NBC in Miami for 12 years before leaving to start a family.  During that time I am proud to have earned a National Emmy and Peabody award for Excellence in Journalism and have covered and experienced some amazing world events.  I am married and have two daughters who grew up in the Keys and graduated from Coral Shores High School before attending and graduating from LSU and UCF.  I am so happy to be a part of the staff at Coral Shores High School and to be able to work with students in the Media Center.  There is nothing better than recommending a book and having a student come back and say "I loved it!  What should I read next?"  My favorite books include the Harry Potter series (JK Rowling), the Discovery of Witches series (Deborah Harkness) and To Kill a Mockingbird (Harper Lee).
