Top 10 Must Knows

  1. All policies and procedures follow the guidelines of the CDC and our local health department.

  2. Parents will be asked to sign an attestation agreeing to monitor their child for signs of illness and exposure to a known case of COVID-19. If a child is sick or has symptoms they must stay home. If a child has been tested due to exposure or symptoms, he/she must stay home until results are available then health officials will give further advice on the status of their return to school.

  3. If a child becomes ill at school, parents / guardians will be called and must come get the child immediately. Parents should ensure the school has updated contact information.

  4. Students should bring a labeled water bottle for personal use.

  5. Masks must be worn at all times unless the child is eating or taking an adult approved “mask break.”

  6. All students will be seated 6 feet apart and facing the same direction when in class.

  7. All students will sanitize and/or wash their hands several times throughout the school day.

  8. During the moderate phase of opening students may eat lunch in their classrooms or in the cafeteria in very small socially distanced groups, depending on school. There will be no assemblies or large events/gatherings, and movement throughout the building will be limited as much as possible.

  9. All behavioral, mental health, and crisis supports will remain in place and available for any student in need. All English Language Learner (ELL), Exceptional Special Education services (ESE), and academic and behavioral interventions will remain in place for students.

  10. For the safety of all students and staff, visitors to the school buildings will be limited. Visitors, including parents, will need an appointment.
