KWHS Coach honored as one of the best in South Florida
Key West High School Coach Ralph Henriquez was honored in October as one of the first coaches to be inducted into the HSBN South Florida Hall of Fame.
Coach Henriquez has over 300 wins for Key West High baseball, the most of any KWHS coach in history. Over the past two and a half decades, Henriquez has amassed three state titles, with several squads earning top national rankings. More than 120 of his former players have signed college scholarships, with 11 athletes drafted into the pros straight from high school.
The High School Baseball Network (HSBN) South Florida Hall of Fame was launched in October and held its first ceremony October 26th at the NSU University School AutoNation Center for the Arts. The ceremony recognized 23 of the best and most influential coaches in South Florida. (For more information about the inductees, click here).
"These coaches have mentored thousands of young student-athletes, and dedicated their lives to the game," said HSBN Vice-President Anthony Uttariello. Over the coming years, we plan on inducting dozens of worthy coaches, players, and contributors to the high school game down here in South Florida, from Palm Beach all the way to the Keys. "
