Mindful Monday with Mrs. Orcutt

Our school counselor, Mrs. Orcutt, is truly amazing when it comes to helping students learn how to manage big emotions. With a calm and caring approach, she teaches children effective calm-down strategies like deep breathing, counting forward and backward, and mindfulness. Her ability to connect with students and model these techniques creates a safe space where kids feel empowered to regulate their emotions and build resilience. Today she worked with Mrs. Ladnier’s class on some yoga poses they can use to manage their big emotions.
