Class of 2025 Talented Twenty Announced
Marathon High School Honors Talented Twenty Scholars for Academic Excellence
Marathon, FL – April 16, 2025 — Marathon High School is proud to recognize and celebrate a select group of outstanding seniors who have earned the prestigious distinction of being named to Florida’s Talented Twenty program. This honor is reserved for students who rank in the top 20 percent of their graduating class and have met the rigorous academic requirements established by the Florida Department of Education.
The Talented Twenty program guarantees eligible students priority admission to one of Florida’s 12 state universities, within space and fiscal limitations, and consideration for the Florida Student Assistance Grant, a needs-based financial aid program.
“These students have demonstrated not only academic excellence but also resilience and dedication throughout their high school careers,” said Principal Christine Paul. “Being part of the Talented Twenty is a reflection of their hard work and commitment to their future, and we could not be prouder of their accomplishments.”
To qualify for the Talented Twenty designation, students must graduate from a Florida public high school with a standard diploma, be ranked in the top 20 percent of their class after their seventh semester, complete all required coursework, and submit SAT or ACT scores to a Florida state university.
