    This is an update on the Monroe County School District's K-12 Instructional Resources adoption.

    On May 23, the 30-day public objection period for recommendation materials concluded.

  • Notice of Public Meeting: MCSD and UTM Bargaining Teams

    The Monroe County School District (MCSD) and the United Teachers of Monroe (UTM) convenes annually to bargain conditions pertinent to the UTM, Teachers and School Related Personnel (SRP) Contracts.  Two bargaining sessions have been scheduled on: 

    Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 9:00-5:00 and Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from 9:00-5:00 

    All bargaining sessions will be held in Key West at the Monroe County School District Headquarters on 241 Trumbo Rd.  All of the meetings will be conducted in person at the same times and location as listed above.  For any inquiries, please contact Harry Russell by email at: Harry.Russell@keysschools.com no later than Noon, the day before a scheduled session or calling 305-293-1400 x53329.

  • Notice of Public Meeting: School Board

    Due to two separate tragedies impacting the school district and the school board, this meeting will now be held on May 13th. The time and location will remain the same.

    On Tuesday, May 06, 2025   May 13th 2025, the School Board will begin with the Regular Business Meeting approximately at 5:00 P.M. A Public Hearing for Policies and Job Descriptions are also included on the agenda. The host location is Coral Shores High School, 89901 Old Hwy, Tavernier, FL 33070.

    Citizens wishing to address the Board on any agenda item before action should register to speak during the Citizen Input segment of the meeting by calling (305) 293-1400 ext. 53392 by 2:00 P.M of the meeting day. Upon arrival at the meeting, the speakers will complete the Speaker's Form. 

    Persons requesting accommodations for a qualifying disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) should call 305-293-1400 ext. 53392 with their request no less than five (5) business days prior to the meeting and complete a speaker's card identifying what accommodation is requested.

    If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Board, with respect to any matter considered at a School Board meeting or hearing, that person may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings are made.
